Wanganui Museum & The Sarjeant Art Gallery

On Monday we enjoyed a trip to both the Whanganui Museum & Sarjeant Art Gallery. At the museum we learned what life was like 100 years ago- writing with chalk, slate and dip pens while trying not to have our knuckles hit by the teacher, Mrs.Beautrais! (Just kidding- but she did hit the desk and got very cross if we talked!)
At the art gallery we made paper poppies that will be on display in our classroom. Thanks to the parents who joined us.

Celebration of Behaviour @ Kowhai Park

What a fabulous day! On Thursday afternoon the Junior School celebrated our great choices in behaviour and learning  with a trip to Kowhai Park. As you can see by the pictures,  a great time was had by all. I was very pleased to see all our Room 4 Tamariki in attendance!! It was also great to see all the parents that were able to join us- many thanks for your support.

National Standards After 3 Years A at School

At the Meet the Teacher interviews a few weeks ago,  each parent was given a booklet that outlined the Standards and how you can help your child. Google kindly shared this link with me so I thought I'd also share it with you. Remember we are always happy to discuss your child's learning and any questions you may have ☺

He would have been 111 today!

Constable Paul Visits Room 4

Today Constable Paul visited our class as part of the Keeping Ourselves Safe  programme.  Today he was talking about different types of secrets and what we should do with secrets. We also talked about who can help us if we need some help. We learnt that we could talk to our parents, teachers or even the Student Leaders.
We look forward to Constable Paul visiting us again for other lessons later ☺
